how the characters in Pride and Prejudice (especially Elizabeth and Darcy) represent archetypes that can be connected to different novels throughout history. Elizabeth is the heroine, Darcy ie the hero, Lady Catherine is the villainess/ trickster, Jane is the damsel in distress and so forth. In regards to the “Foster element”, I’m using chapter 4 in “ How to Read Literature Like a Professor” by Thomas C. Foster since he talks about archetypes and how to recognize them in literature.
