An Expository Essay requires you to explore an idea and advance an argument pertaining to that idea. It moves well beyond a basic summary of an issue and begins to advance theories and solutions. You may not realize how frequently you have come into contact with this style of essay. Expository writing is something you are very familiar with if you ever read editorials in your local newspaper or an especially established and informed blogger. .
