Use Symbolic Interaction to analyze a personal experience that involved social interaction. This could be a situation at work, leisure, home, or any other social setting such as a trip to the grocery store, bank, or dentist (as if we do much of that anymore). First, briefly describe the situation in “layperson’s” terms (without using sociological concepts, as you would describe what happened to a friend). Then, using any of the theories of Symbolic Interactionism as a framework, analyze the social interaction. Examples of theories would include dramaturgy, impression management, ethnomethodology, exchange theory, or rational choice theory
